Telemetry Tech, Full Time Days
POSITION SUMMARY:
To perform technical and patient care tasks and continuous observation, interpretation, recording, and communication of cardiac rhythms of monitored patients in a variety of age groups to the Registered Nurse and physician.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience as telemetry monitor tech required.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Successful completion of a recognized course in cardiac arrhythmia interpretation and certification. Ability to work cooperatively with members of the healthcare delivery team. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in the workload and work schedules. Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergencies. Ability to exercise sound technical judgement. Ability to communicate effectively.
