POSITION SUMMARY The position is responsible and accountable for preventative maintenance of all facilities, property and equipment, and in accordance with all established policies and procedures set forth by the company. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive. Other reasonable duties may be assigned. 1. Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to: a. Clean – Keep all areas clean and pristine. b. Safe – Follow all safety policies and procedures. c. Friendly - Use customer courtesy skills of See.Say.Smile to provide superior guest service and increase Net Promoter Score. d. Fun – Have fun! Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards. 2. Responsible for general maintenance of facilities on property and the property itself. Identify, diagnose, and repair items related to maintenance of such facilities. 3. Diagnose the need for and perform all duties related from advanced to expert level painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other projects related to the maintenance of the property. 4. Responds to work orders on a daily basis. 5. Routinely inspects all necessary equipment as assigned, identifying potential problems and / or safety hazards, and making repairs as needed. 6. Takes readings on equipment as needed for maintenance and repair. 7. Maintains an adequate supply of materials needed for the proficient performance of job. 8. Coordinates and installs all new equipment and / or wiring. 9. Maintains all logs necessary for conformance with established standards.10. Ensures adherence to all OSHA safety requirements and safety policies. 11. Use knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, painting and plumbing; including but not limited to following blueprints, installations, cutting, framework, inspections and replacing framework, structures and fixtures. 12. Maintain accurate records on material and labor used. 13. Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean. 14. Responsible for developing and maintaining positive guest relations, including but not limited to, resolving minor guest disputes and assist in ensuring the safety and security of all guests and employees. 15. Knowledge of all special events and promotional activities available to guest. 16. Other duties as assigned. MARGINAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist others with repairs as needed. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS The position is responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor for successful performance of assigned duties. EQUIPMENT/PHYSICAL SKILLS Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, the following  Basic hand and power tools  Twelve foot ladder  Meters, gauges, and other related equipment ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT The following list of physical attributes is intended to be an approximation of the demands expected to be placed on an employee filling this role. Physical demands include, but are not limited to, the following:  Walking and standing – 80%  Bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, or crouching – throughout shift  Lifting / carrying (up to 50lbs. without assistance)  Use hands and fingers to handle / feel objects, tools or controls Casino environment exposed to various temperatures, smoke, dust and fumes, bright lights, and excessive noise levels. ESSENTIAL JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES 1. Install, repair, adjust, maintain and troubleshoot necessary equipment related to position and property maintenance.2. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. 3. Ability to perform basic math skills in all units of measure. 4. Ability to work at heights on aerial lifts, scaffolding, stepladders, and/or extension ladders. 5. Ability to work in confined spaces. 6. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material. 7. Ability to operate a computer and assigned software. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Occupationally significant combination of vocational education, apprentice training, in-plant training and on-the-job training preferred. Ten+ years related experience in facilities maintenance. Appropriate certifications preferred. Completes all company-required training within designated time frames. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS Ability to obtain and hold a Louisiana Responsible Vendor's card. Ability to obtain and hold a valid driver’s license. Ability to obtain and hold any and all licenses, certifications, insurance coverage or any other indemnifications which may be required by the company for the successful completion of the duties associated with this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.73 - $31.49 per hour
