The role of a FOH/BOH Floater crew member is to bring this mission to life, bringing kindness on a plate and ensuring the BEst customer service experience possible, while supporting daily operations. The position is part of the Customer Kindness Team at Just BE Kitchen. As a FOH crew member you will be expected to take initiative, support senior management and demonstrate exceptional guest relations. You will work alongside the Bar and Beverage Supervisor BE-ing an example for other employees and you will report into the Kitchen Guru, Kitchen Mentor & General Manager.


Here at Just BE Kitchen, we want our guests to feel nourished, cared for & SAFE. As a FOH team member, you will be in charge of a strong customer focused entity, exceptional operational flow of the floor & radical attention to detail of the needs of a highly functioning FOH. Your role is to support the directives of the Senior Management Team and to be an active participant in the ongoing growth of Just BE Kitchen & Holidaily and the members of our team. Just BE Kitchen, a 100% gluten, grain & refined sugar free fast-casual. We are a fast-casual 100% PALEO restaurant and gluten free brewery operating as a shared space with Holidaily Brewing Company. This position will need to greet guests & show care towards how they are noursihed, operate the FOH for both JBK & Holidaily, & make guests feel comforted with navigating through our menu and allergens!!

  • Comply with opening & closing procedures, including cleaning and deep cleaning needs & daily task lists
  • Supporting the operations of FOH
  • Running food, cashier, expediting, cleaning tables, bus tubs, dishes, beverage duties, etc.
  • Serve food to guests and ensure they are cared for & nourished
  • Answer any questions the guests may have
  • Illustrating extremely kind customer service, willing to listen and support customers
  • Affable and friendly and upbeat with guests
  • Identifying issues and & organizing solutions involving the beverage program
  • Making sure FOH signage is updated/taken care of as needed by yourself or other members of the team
  • Operate the POS seamlessly and excellent cashier skills
  • Have full FOH operations expertise with an eye for attention to detail
  • Can help execute special events, & any catering needs that arise for beverage
  • Will maintain a clean dining room for both JBK & Holidaily
  • Will follow both Holidaily & JBK protocols
  • Support the expo line by reducing mistakes through efficient communication & attention to detail
  • Obtain TIPS certification through Holidaily within 90 days of employment
  • Execute to-go station & 3rd party orders
  • Restocking all FOH stations at Mid-day & Close
  • Support both Holidaily & JBK in opening & closing FOH
  • Is an EXPERT at the menu and can support any guest question or specialty diet or allergen needs that my arise.


You will work in close conjunction with other team members, all of which perform slightly different roles at JBK, but as a team you are all responsible for the Kitchen operations and everyone pitches in all levels. We are excited that you are passionate about Health & Wellness and can hold down the line while also having the ability to assist in the preparation of scratch recipes in our 100% Gluten-Free kitchen.


You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks to a high standard such as:


  • Setting up the line
  • Maintaining cleanliness across all parts of the line & BOH operations
  • Ensure dish specs are executed seamlessly and to a high standard
  • Set up workstations and ingredients
  • Flip the line for each service
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly & to Health & Safety standards
  • Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
  • Consistently adhere to the opening, closing, mid-shift and cleaning checklists
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
  • Perform daily & weekly deep cleans
  • Strong communication with BOH & FOH staff
  • Have a strong knowledge & understanding of the menu to support guest questions
  • Assist customers with ordering at the POS station
  • Can perform all basic functions of using the POS (voids, comps, add ons, modifications, closing checks, end of day)
  • Complete FOH cashier training modules
  • Support standard bakery prep (tortillas, brownies, cookies, cutting, scooping biscuits)
  • Have a strong understanding and base of JBK allergens & special dietary protocols
  • Will support the FOH by bussing tables & cleaning the dining room during slower periods & when needed
  • Support dishes throughout the day to avoid dish buildup
  • Support the FOH by removing bus tubs when they are more than 1/2 full
  • Support the FOH by restocking the guest station
  • Support the FOH by taking out trash in the dining room when full
  • Able to support the expo line in times of need
  • Will support the FOH when needed by bagging to go orders & monitoring to go orders for accuracy & quality.
  • Support Events, special orders & catering
  • Putting away food orders with Leadership support & following the food receiving protocols
  • Follow daily health code standards & support fellow team members with accountability to standards
  • Serve bathced beverges when ordered
  • Can support FOH by reading barista tickets and fulfilling basic RTD & batched beverages orders

You will also need to manage high volume and expo tickets while working the line during high volumes and an affable attitude, ability to work in stressful situations & effectively communicate with FOH expo is critical. This role is a hybrid role where you will be expected to perform both BOH & FOH positions throughout your shift.


You will be paid on a bi-weekly basis a base rate plus tips. With tip-share, we expect that your average hourly amount to be between $16 and $18. Other Company benefits include:

Notice Period

If at anytime you feel this isn’t a place that you can thrive that we mutually give one another 1 month’s notice. As an At Will State, this is not required, but we believe in operating with integrity and as a manager, your position is harder to fill. Equally, we would honor you with a reciprocal arrangement with this notice period as well, so long as there was no termination for cause.
