River City Eatery is a quickly growing, family-owned, fast casual restaurant specializing in scratch Midwest comfort food with a modern vibe since 2011. Starting as the “local hangout cafe” in our humble roots in Windom, MN, to bringing our small-batch-scratch comfort food menu to a fast casual vibe to more places like Mankato. We take our food way more seriously than ourselves.

We have a unique work environment where you're trained to work every position in the restaurant. From taking customer orders, to the grill, to morning prep and evening close, our team members become a team working in all aspects of the restaurant, and you can carry all these skills with you if this turns out to be a stepping stone job while you’re figuring your stuff out in other ways.

We have an open kitchen experience at our Mankato location, so it's fun and sometimes loud with lots of team communication and team to guest communication while we prepare food. At this location, the open kitchen is part of the customer experience.

· Ability To Work At A Fast Pace - Our kitchen has a lot going on sometimes and there's lots of on-the-line communication and job rotation. It's not necessarily for everybody, but for the right person, it makes the day fly by because you're not starin at a clock all day.

· Good Communication and Attitude - Our team is vocal and supports and works with each other on what's happening real-time during each shift. We think life is too short to have a crappy attitude. Also, you don't have to have experience if you have great attitude, we know we can train anyone who WANTS to be trained.

· A love for Food and a good time – We make some pretty epic food and love doing it (sometimes while we sing because again, we don't take ourselves to seriously, just the food).
