We are looking for a motivated and dynamic individual to help us mentor and lead our Talent Acquisition team acquire talent for a variety of positions across the US and Canada. The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for managing the hiring process for all HCC positions. This role will be responsible for the full cycle recruitment process of both exempt/non-exempt positions in a fast-paced work environment with a high-volume requisition load. The Talent Acquisition Manager will need to be hands on, data driven and a subject matter expert. They will need to manage a support function for our hiring managers.

Our Office is located in Hoffman Estates, you will be eligible for up to two (2) work from home days a month. This is not a remote or work from home position.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead a high volume, impactful team to meet the growing demands of our fast-paced company
  • Empower and support the Talent Acquisition team to deliver results through goal setting, mentorship, resource alignment, and performance management
  • Responsible for coaching business leaders around talent acquisition hiring practices; ensure hiring managers are trained on interview skills and service level agreements (SLA) commitments
  • Set role expectations and hold the team accountable to SLAs and quality of work
  • Meet 1-1 with direct reports and partner with them to drive their growth and performance
  • Be an advocate for the team to help build and maintain a collaborative work environment
  • Assists with developing recruitment strategies and programs to achieve required staffing levels
  • Create departmental processes to establish consistency throughout department
  • Drive process improvements to relieve any internal bottlenecks
  • Create ATS system enhancements to utilize the system to its full potential
  • Oversee the hiring, on-boarding, and training of new team members
  • Hold team accountable for high levels of service through success metrics, diagnostics and goals
  • Manage the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out the functions of the department
  • Prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishments
  • Actively participate in the recruitment process to ensure department success
  • Ongoing self-development and personal growth as an employee
  • Manage all related Third-party vendors
  • Develop, maintain, and grow key sourcing pools

Core Competencies

  • Must have exceptional oral (phone), written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to coach their employees
  • Ability to build & create relationships with internal customers
  • A broad knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law
  • Individual must be highly organized
  • Strong networking ability
  • Present a positive image of Heritage-Crystal Clean to fellow employees, external contacts, the general public

Work Experience

  • 5 plus years full cycle/high volume recruitment experience preferred, or equivalent education and work experience
  • 2 plus years of experience with the direct supervision of employees

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of rules and regulations surrounding Affirmative Action programs as outlined by the OFCCP

Education, Certificates, Licenses, or Designations

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources or related field preferred

Specific Skills

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Administration Experience with ATS (applicant tracking system) and external job boards necessary
  • Previous experience with HRIS preferred

Work Environment: While performing essential duties of this position an individual regularly works indoors and may be required to sit for long periods. Individual will be required to regularly talk, hear, see and often reach with hands, stand, walk, use a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.
