Tectonic is actively seeking a full-time, experienced Staff Surveyor to join the Survey Department of our Corporate Orange County, NY Office. This position offers a motivated candidate with the opportunity to develop into a project management role and the chance to work with state of the art technology!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential functions of this position include performing and drafting field surveys and office computations using collected data for a variety of sites, including boundary and topography surveys, plans, cross sections, and profiles. The Staff Surveyor will also perform project research of records for deeds, maps, utility information, etc., analyze record and field information for boundary line determinations, compose and review computations, reports, and plats for completeness and accuracy.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 4 years of combined survey experience, or suitable combination of education and experience;
• Working knowledge of survey practices and computations;
• Comprehensive knowledge of survey equipment, and its operations; experience working with Leica Scanners and software a plus
• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2019 or newer, along with functional knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite;
• HS Diploma or equivalent; Surveying Degree a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail, with strong problem solving and analytical skills;
• Must have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills;
• Requires a valid driver’s license to perform field site visits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
