KEY DUTIES:
- Develops and manages procurement strategies for outsourced parts that align with business objectives.
- Provides direction and strategies regarding supplier demand forecasting, supplier capacity planning, supply base inventory management, and supplier advanced replenishment methods.
- Continuously analyze market conditions across all categories to identify areas of potential risk and develop contingency plans to mitigate that risk.
- Negotiate favorable payment terms with suppliers to improve the company’s cash flow position.
- Responsible for sourcing for New Product Introduction and ensuring new products are brought to market: On-Spec, On-Time, and On-Budget
- Identifies and prioritizes potential sourcing opportunities through internal spend analysis, knowledge of business units, savings targets, and/or business criticality.
- Assist in supplier support of advanced replenishment methods (Blanket Agreements, VMI, Consignment, Re-Order Point, Kanban).
- Works closely with suppliers to ensure delivery capability and improve supply chain capabilities such as lead times and working capital.
- Monitors supplier quality, delivery, and cost performance and develop cost control and improvement plans.
- Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and career development.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and legal, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies

- Provides and facilitates communication/interactions amongst team members, between teams, and in other areas. Resolves differences and/or conflict situations effectively.

- Organizes and prioritizes work assignments to complete assignments/tasks on time, with quality, and has the ability to anticipate problem areas in advance. Applies creative problem approaches and ideas to solve problems for area of responsibility.
- Accountable for defining resource needs and working within budget and staffing parameters to accomplish objectives for area of responsibility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in procurement, supply chain management, business administration, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Master’s degree in supply chain management or business administration is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- ERP/MRP Superuser
- Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS) and/or Institute for Supply Management (ISM)
- Strong Lean background.
- Solid track record for performance and progression within operations, business, and supply chain.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior management, teams, and individuals across multiple cultures, disciplines, and geographies.
- Willingness to travel (10-20%) and develop a firsthand understanding of suppliers.
- Sound business acumen operating in both High Mix, Low Volume, and High Volume, Low Mix Production environments.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Solid quantitative skill set and the ability to analyze, think and communicate with well-supported data.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to ask the right questions, help frame logical conclusions and arrive at effective solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication competencies. Extended knowledge of procurement processes, principles, and strategies.
