Starting wages for this position is $18.40 an hour.

• Work schedule is four 10-hour shifts per week (weekdays only) from 6:45am-5:15pm, with one floating day off during on a five week rotation.

• Place clothes on line in consistent manner without overloading. Clothes should cover the belt but should not be placed in deep piles;
• Place books, miscellaneous and electrical products, and trash inside appropriate containers;
• Shoes, belts, and hats should be sorted using given standards with best product placed on line, usable and clean product placed in gaylords, and the rest placed in garbage;
• Replace shoe, belt, hat, and miscellaneous containers when full;
• Remove garbage carts from line area and dump into compactor when full;
• Perform any tasks needed to keep work area neat and safe including keeping aisles and fire lanes clear;
• As assigned, or requested by the manager, be available for all Processing Center tasks involving work on the dock or in the storage area
• Fill in as needed as the Baler on a four man rotation shift *Operation of clothing baler required

Qualifications:

• Able to lift up to 50lbs up to eye level on a continuous basis, * this is an extremely physical job!
• Physically capable of standing, stretching and maneuvering equipment essential to job functions;
• Able to work in a team setting with other workers on the clothing line, including participation in team meetings;
• Be flexible with job changes, willing to do other tasks when requested.
• Able to be forklift certified
• Participate in the SVdP Drug & Alcohol Testing Program for Safety Sensitive Positions, including:
  • Pass pre-employment drug test within 30 days from hire date
