Position Specific Information (if Applicable):
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing SLP Services to students who have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) so that the child may benefit from the educational process and achieve reasonable function within the limits of his/her disability, as well as:
- Assessing and providing research-based intervention to students with communication impairments.
- Work collaboratively to design Individual Education Programs that implement evidence-based differentiated instruction to support academic growth, positive social relationships, functional communication, and positive behavior for learning to promote educational access.
- Developing and promoting good community relations among various community and school clientele.
- Assuming responsibility for department guidelines in requisitioning and maintaining needed equipment and supplies.
- Adhering to guidelines and protocols established by the District and the SLP Department.
- Providing reports and maintaining ongoing records on those students receiving SLP intervention.
- Providing direct and indirect SLP intervention where appropriate in the educational setting.
- Serving as a member of a multidisciplinary team working in cooperation with parents, other support services, educational staff and administration personnel. Participates in the development of the IEP evaluation, goals and objectives, and accommodations/modifications which are relevant to a child’s needs in the educational environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Masters in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Science Disorders from an accredited college
- Colorado School Speech Language Pathologist License
- Preferred that the SLP have a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
Term: Part-time (0.4 FTE - 2 days per week)
Start Date: August 1, 2023
Compensation: $40-$70 per hour
