Terrific opportunity to join a superb team of Hospitality Professionals as Sous Chef of The Martha Washington Inn & Spa in Abingdon Va.

Expectations include but are not limited to the following:

● Technical and creative cooking/kitchen skills
● Ability to follow direction from Executive Chef & Food/Beverage Manager
● Motivate and delegate tasks in lieu of Executive Chef, if necessary
● Learn new or different cooking techniques & recipes from Chef
● Work closely with Chef, Pastry Chef and Breakfast Chef
● Execute banquets when required
● Set and monitor food standards
●

Executive Chef Requirements:

● 2+ years of culinary education or 4+ years experience
● 2+ years Sous Chef or Kitchen Management experience
● Excellent knowledge of BOH operations
● Knowledge of culinary ingredients and food practices
● Ability to work dining (open 5PM-9PM) and banquet hours (varies)
● Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
