Job description
We are looking for a shipping clerk in the city of Irvine, Ca.
- Schedule: Hours are M-F 7am – 3:30pm.
- Pay rate is $17 /hr.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Shipping clerk handles functions including data entry, processing orders, and communicating with Customer Service to resolve issues. This position is responsible for picking, pulling, as well as acknowledging shipping orders. This position also requires handling of railcars and raw materials.
- Acknowledges and logs orders in systems shipped out previous day
- Prints orders
- Pulls and stages orders
- Uses forklift to load material onto trucks
- Moves and stages inventory to create space in warehouse
- Keeps all documents for shipping department in order
- Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Keeps railcars pumping raw materials by moving hoses from one compartment to another based on unloading plan provided
