Jet Set Tiki Bar is actively looking for experienced and enthusiastic servers for the Summer 2023 season.

About us:

We are a fun and lively tiki bar and restaurant on the Newburgh Waterfront. We are looking for experienced servers who are interested in working in a high-volume location.

About you:

The ideal candidate should be a very outgoing person, who has an exciting personality that can shine while working hard. As a server at Jet Set Tiki, you should be able to create a unique, one-of-a-kind experience for our guests.

An interest in, or passion for, tiki drinks, culture, and history is a huge plus and will be valued. Tiki bars are more than just elaborate drinks—they tie in décor which is based upon a romanticized concept of the tropics. Our bartenders and front-of-house staff should be able to not only provide great service at a high volume but be able to fully engage in tiki culture and showmanship with our guests at all times.

You are comfortable working all types of shifts (lunch or dinner), weekends, and can work efficiently and quickly in a fast-paced environment. You work well as part of a team, have impeccable organization and communication skills, and are personable and polite.

At Jet Set, we intend to provide a vacation-style atmosphere for our guests which will show directly through our staff. We are a great place to have fun and work hard.

You have:

• Knowledge of basic menu and food terminology
• Familiarity of, or a passion for, tiki cocktails, food, history, and culture is a plus
• At least 1-2 years of front-of-house experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $13.20 per hour
