Responsibilities:

• Manage assigned projects by providing direct supervision, mentoring, and overall leadership of a design team

• Develop project scope, schedule and budget estimates

• Identify resources needed and effectively delegate staff duties and responsibilities

• Create and execute project work plans

• Monitor work for adherence to project scope and identify out of scope actions

• Prepare and submit appropriate project reports

• Serve as primary interface between client and staff for a given project

• Practice good time management skills, demonstrating ability to work efficiently within time constraints while dealing with numerous concurrent activities

• Networking, including active participation in and leadership of professional organizations

• Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills to interface effectively with internal staff, clients, contractors, agencies and the public

Job Competencies:

· Structural Engineering: 5-7 years

· AutoCAD and Revit: 3 – 5 years

· RISA 3D, Etabs, SAP, or RAM Structural System: 5-7 years

Requirements:

· Bachelor Degree; Civil/Structural Engineering required

· Master’s Degree – Civil/Structural Engineering is a plus

· 5 - 7 years of Revit and/or BIM (Building Information Modeling)

· 5 - 7 years of relevant project design experience

· 5 – 7 years of structural engineering experience; strong understanding for core structural engineering concepts

· Experienced in managing multiple projects simultaneously

· Strong leadership skills – ability to manage and build teams effectively

· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

· Highly organized, detail-driven and conscientious

· Is attuned to other areas as it relates to total project: structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural and site requirements

· Passing Fundamentals of Engineering exam required, Professional Engineer certification preferred.

· Revit Structural experience preferred

· RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, Etabs, and RISA experience preferred
Ability to work in a dynamic team setting with overtime as required
