Senior SharePoint Developer
KEMET Electronics Corporation, member of the YAGEO group, is a leading global supplier of electronic components and is seeking an energetic, positive, and customer focused individual for the Senior SharePoint Developer position at our Simpsonville South Carolina facility. The Senior SharePoint Developer will help analyze requirements, design, and develop collaborative application solutions, along with working directly with internal customers to help them solve business problems by optimizing and enhancing existing manual business processes.
Primary Responsibilities include but not exhaustive:
- Develop software solutions by studying requirements analysis and information needs; perform software design using software development fundamentals and processes, debug, test, and deploy software solutions.
- Work with KEMET site owners to maximize SharePoint’s role in internal collaboration and communication, with an emphasis on user-created content and self-service.
- Lead the migration efforts to SharePoint Online and improve user adoption of collaborative tools and technologies.
- Develop Nintex workflows and forms to modernize business processes.
- Lead efforts to maximize our SharePoint Online environment using Power Automate and PowerApps.
- Lead the documentation of SharePoint Development and Administration standards and best practices.
- Help Administer SharePoint O365 environment, including capacity planning, security, governance, and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical direction for development of custom team sites, libraries, lists, views, and workflows.
- Use tools like ShareGate to migrate content.
- Provide training for the KEMET SharePoint community.
- Adherence to development policies, processes, and internal systems updates.
- Adhere to an Agile development methodology.
- Possible travel to other KEMET locations for training, meetings, and presentations.
- Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- 7 years of progressive Information Systems professional work experience.
- 7 years working with Microsoft SharePoint O365, SharePoint 2019/2016.
- 5 years’ experience working with VB or C# and Microsoft .NET Framework.
- 5 years’ experience with PowerShell, writing scripts and cmdlets.
- Proven ability in building custom solutions and workflows in O365 using, Visual Studio and/or Nintex Workflow Cloud.
- Extensive experience in the SharePoint Development lifecycle within, including the use of apps, and tools such as PowerApps, PowerAutomate and Nintex.
- Experience with front-end customization using HTML and CSS to include functionality of various SharePoint web parts.
- Experience developing Nintex workflows and Forms.
- Experience with either ShareGate or AvePoint tool migrations.
- Knowledge of, and familiarity with, enterprise content management and unstructured data management concepts.
- Knowledge of, and familiarity with, enterprise records management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on, and with internal technology teams and internal business customers.
- Strong consulting and mentorship skills.
- Effective verbal and written technical communications skills. Ability to produce technical documentation.
- Effective self-organization and planning skills.
- Must be able to adjust when there is a shift in priorities.
- Ability to act proactively and make productive decisions.
