The Role
Fidelity Capital Markets is seeking a senior associate to develop Fidelity’s electronic equity trading platform! You’ll use a data driven approach to manage Fidelity’s industry leading liquidity reach, creating value for our clients and driving revenue. This is a client and broker facing role, helping clients understand our approach to the market and partnering with brokers to curate differentiated liquidity opportunities. As a key player on the Electronic Trading desk, you will work closely with client coverage, data scientists, technologists, and operations staff to continuously improve our capabilities.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative discipline preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving background
Proven, effective verbal and written communication skills appropriate to all levels of internal and external customers
Ability to understand the market’s regulatory framework and effectively engage with stakeholders
Team player with a positive attitude and an interest in designing innovative equity trading solutions
Experience with US equity market structure and quantitative trading analysis preferred
Experience partnering with broker-dealers and market makers preferred
Experience with Python, KDB/Q, R, Tableau, or Unix.
Series 7, 63, and 57 to be obtained within a time frame set by the business unit
The Team
The Electronic Trading product team is responsible for the strategy and development of Fidelity’s institutional equity brokerage offering which includes trading algorithms, crossing engines, analytics platforms, and Fidelity Service Bureau. Located within Fidelity Capital Markets, the institutional brokerage arm of Fidelity Investments, the Electronic Trading team provides institutional clients with access to the US equity market via an innovative and differentiated business model.
