The position fundraises to support the mission of the Athletic Department at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. With a balanced program that supports equitable opportunities for all students and staff, the department promotes a total person concept that provides its student-athletes with the necessary tools to be successful in academic, athletic and social settings. The Department of Athletic supports the highest ethical standards of the University, the NCAA and conference affiliation.
Primary Purpose of Position
Oversee all aspects of major and principal gift fundraising including the identification, qualification, cultivation and solicitation of prospects for the athletic department. Develop and execute a capital campaign fundraising plan for all phases of the EverGreen Athletics Facilities Master Vision. Create and implement an annual giving strategy to support athletic department operations. Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects. Carry out duties as established by the Director of Athletics, Vice Chancellor of Advancement, and the Athletic Foundation Board of Directors.
Summary of Position Responsibilities
- Oversee all fund-raising activities to support Athletics.
Minimum Education/Experience
Undergraduate and previous work experience in a collegiate fundraising setting.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Master’s degree.
