POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a accountant motivated to help shape a growing company with a lot of opportunity. The accountant's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. The accountant will also assist the CFO and the rest of the finance team as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes. A successful candidate will have a strong ability to accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills are a must for the role. Senior Accountant title and compensation will be offered based on experience and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
• Preparing journal entries, analyses, account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.
• Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
• Maintaining documentation for accounts payable & receivable, purchasing, and treasury and conducting internal audits.
• On time monthly balance sheet reconciliations and meeting reporting deadlines
• Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits from Champion and Orion Leadership
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP
• Overall Support to the CFO
• Understanding of and ability to manage AR & AP functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
• 2-5+ years of accounting experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• Good problem-solving and time management skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Senior Accountant title will be placed based on qualifications and proven track record of responsibilities.
