The YMCA of Hagerstown is seeking aides, teachers, and directors to work at before and after school care sites.

Directors are responsible for oversight of the school site and supervision of staff. Major emphasis is on program excellence and developing quality care. Will assist with ongoing program continuity by ensuring schedules, programs, licensing and operating requirements are followed and in compliance with MSDE regulations and standards.

Directors must be 20 years of age and possess 90 hr School Age Credit Classes, must meet all OCFS regulations and have experience leading groups of children which includes 800 hours of experience or 90 hours in Child Development and School Age Activities or a related field.

Teachers are responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of lesson plan and daily classroom activities, organizing center events, and performing other tasks related to the operation of the center.

Teachers must be 20 years of age and possess 90 hr School Age Credit Classes, or 90 hours in Child Development and School Age Activities or a related field with a plan of study leading to a credential and two years of experience related to caring for children.

Aides work under the direction of the Site Director and are responsible for assisting with the daily program as it relates to children and their classroom activities. Aides must be 16 years of age.
