Description: Software Engineer II
MAJOR PURPOSE:
- Works on a product team and supports product design by planning its work, coordinating with others, and writing and testing code to deliver moderately complex functionality on a complete product or significant portion of a product it supports. This level develops simple designs to solve well-defined problems with guidance from more senior team members.
- May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work to support personnel; Makes decisions within established guidelines subject to review by supervisors; Executes high level applications to more complex problems.

- Develops, codes, configures, and tests programs and systems.
- Evaluates and implements enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of software applications.
- Analyzes assignments and determines software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives.
- Executes necessary documentation, as directed, or needed.
- Collaborates with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs.
- Follows industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation.

Education: Formal education or training required to perform the essential functions of the job. Includes degrees, certifications, licenses and/or registration requirements.
- Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. (University Degree (4 years or equivalent))
- Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience. (University Degree (4 years or equivalent))Relevant work experiences: Type and amount of experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. May include specific roles and/or of a particular function, organization, industry or product line.
- Previous experience in programming/software development. (1 - 3 years)
- Software development processes experience. (1 - 3 years)
- Participating in Agile Development (1 - 3 years)
- Experience working in an Agile Environment (1 - 3 years)
Position TitleSoftware Engineer - RemoteSpecific Position Requirements
- First shift hours - typically 8am- 4pm.
- As Software Engineer you will work on a product team and support product design by planning, coordinating with others, and writing and testing code to deliver functionality for the complete product it supports. This level designs complex/significant parts of a system/sub-system or works on a complete product of a broad scope and solves well-defined problems with little guidance. In addition, you will;
- Develop, code, configure, and test programs and systems
- Evaluate and implement enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of software applications
- Analyze assignments and determine software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives
- Collaborate with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs
- Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation
Proven Technical Skills and Experiences
- Mastery in SAP ABAP, or HANA/BW development
- Mastery with relational or NoSQL databases
- Working understanding of automated testing or TDD practices in day to day development
- Working understanding of design patterns, loosely coupled architectures
- Working understanding of authentication and authorization schemes
- Working understanding of RESTful or SOAP APIs
- Working understanding of Dev Ops, CI/CD and integrating systems into a deployment pipeline
- Working understanding of cloud development with platforms like AWS or Azure
- Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies
Education (or equivalent work experience)
Bachelor’s degree in a Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology discipline OR Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience (10+ years of applied software engineering experience with 5+ years web development)

Salary: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
