Summary/Objective
The function of the Sales & Operational Support position is to facilitate day-to-day local scheduling of manpower and Stone Mountain Access rental equipment to provide maximization of resources (human and equipment) needed to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, efficiency, schedule adherence and economic goals, while working under direct supervision of the General Manager.
Essential Functions

- Assist General Manager with directing shop and warehouse staff, prepare work schedules appropriate to client needs.
- Collaborate with General Manager to ensure proper staff and equipment is available to meet project needs.
- Work with General Manager on inventory management and procurement related to rental equipment, sales inventory, supplies, repair parts, and tools.
- Work with General manager to facilitate Stone Mountain rental equipment repair program and customer repair program for quality and efficiency.
- Work with direction from the General Manager on physical inventory preparation, counts, and data entry.
- Manages the reception area to ensure effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally to maintain professional image.
- Works with SMA Group accounts receivable department to research and resolve discrepancies related to customer invoicing.
- Processes day to day paperwork and reviews for appropriate documentation and approval prior to invoicing the customer.
- Processes pay applications including reference requests.
- Submits Certificates of Insurance to ensure compliance.
- Properly address inside sales requests and manage customer service inquiries.
- Ensures proper training of personnel assigned.
- Fosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conductive to maximize employee morale and productivity.

While performing the duties of this job, individuals frequently may need to sit or stand as needed. The position requires walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. The employee may reach above shoulder heights or below the waist and lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and use proper lifting techniques. The noise level is moderate.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, first shift, 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Overnight travel is not expected for this position. Occasionally, local travel may be required.
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree or equivalent and 5-7 years previous Warehouse supervisor experience
- Experience in a construction environment.
- Forklift experience required.
- Driver’s license preferred.
- Scaffold experience preferred.
- OSHA certifications preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, schematics, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Ability to speak, read and write English required.
Ability to speak, read or write Spanish preferred.
Math Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
Proficient in MS Office, Internet, and Windows
