Job description
Duties and responsibilities
· Sells products to customer, processes returns and credits
· Answers customer questions and processes orders
· Assists customers make correct selections
· Promotes additional/ alternate items to increase sales volume
· Promotes and explains special promotions, Spiffs or programs
· Maintains assigned accounts and updates related customer support files
· Calls customers on regular basis
· Communicates with customers on account status
· Maintains up-to-date knowledge of product lines; purchasing notes, flyers, trade magazines.
· Attends product training seminars
· Provides additional support for customer orders
· Researches items or delivery dates by contacting reps, consulting catalogs, and other product literature
· Develop pricing quotes
· Provides support for customer orders including pulling orders and will call activities
· Warehouse duties as required including pulling orders, receiving, stocking, shipping, inventory, etc.
· Perform job within safety rules and guidelines
· Keeps counter displays stocked and neat
· Other duties as assigned
