The Regional Safety Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all construction projects within their designated region comply with federal, state, and local safety regulations, as well as company safety policies and procedures. They will work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and implement best practices to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries on job sites. This is a full-time position that may require travel within the designated region.

The Regional Safety Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all construction projects within their designated region comply with federal, state, and local safety regulations, as well as company safety policies and procedures. They will work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and implement best practices to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries on job sites. This is a full-time position that may require travel within the designated region.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to develop and implement safety plans for construction projects
- Provide safety training to employees, contractors, and other stakeholders as needed
- Conduct incident investigations and provide recommendations for corrective actions to prevent future incidents
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics to the Director of Safety
- Maintain a thorough understanding of federal, state, and local safety regulations, and ensure that all projects comply with these regulations
- Participate in safety audits and assessments, and assist in the development and implementation of corrective action plans
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends related to construction safety, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in safety management, construction management, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in a federal construction setting
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations related to construction
- Experience developing and implementing safety plans and programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and influence others
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex safety issues
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel within the designated region as needed
- Certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour, CSP, or CHST are preferred but not required
