Overview:
M Health Fairview is looking for a Revenue Cycle Revenue Integrity Reporting Analyst!

The Revenue Cycle Revenue Integrity Reporting Analyst is responsible for proactively working with service lines and Revenue Cycle to generate a variety of reports, ensuring integrity of charge reconciliation, identifying inaccurate and missed charges, and responding agilely to customer-initiated requests. The reporting of daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly analysis completed by this role is shared with Revenue Cycle leaders and service line partners to identify and help understand trends and opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities/Job Description:
  • Develops, designs, and maintains visuals and/or reports.
    • Monthly business unit or cost center reports to explain revenue variances
    • Ad hoc reporting and provide necessary data to investigate revenue variances in requesting business units
    • Business unit and cost center detail reports and service volume reports
    • Daily charge reconciliation, open encounters, charge adjustment, late charge, and other reconciliation reporting tools
  • Investigates, compiles, analyzes, accurately interprets, and validates data.
  • Summarizes findings and opportunities identified in the data to support leadership decision making.
  • Supports the creation of educational materials for staff and process improvement of revenue integrity reporting tool usage with business unit customers.
  • Acts as a point of contact/subject matter expert for application process and maintains a strong understanding of system functionality, software applications, and business workflow and objectives to appropriately interpret data and support leadership decision making.
  • Applies critical thinking knowledge to core functions to take action and ensure escalation of system problems and operational needs.
  • Outlines requirements for new analytic tools including necessary fields, appropriate calculations, data definitions, and integration points.
  • Researches, documents, and facilitates resolution to issues reported by end-users
  • Tests, identifies new conditions to test, and analyzes results of testing of new workflows and system functionalities
  • Responds to customer-initiated requests for reporting tools, education, and analysis of possible variation in charging or revenue for a given business unit, cost center or service line
  • Defines and co-develops business requirements that allows for optimization of the system to enhance operational workflows.
  • Identify charge capture opportunities through analysis of revenue reports, contributing to the process or enablement of collecting expected payment
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key partners to research and develop potential solutions to systematic issues
    • Work with nurse auditors, charge capture coordinators, CDM analysts and/or service line customers to assist with additional reporting or education needs necessary to identify and fix charge issues leading to reduced business unit revenue
    • Work with CDM team to build usage reports to support business unit tracking of productivity units via charges
    • Partners with Clinical Informatics and clinical caregivers in decision making.
  • Ensures completion of timely and accurate work
  • Understands and adheres to Revenue Cycle’s Escalation Policy
  • Contributes to the process or enablement of collecting expected payment
Qualifications:

Required


Education

  • Associate degree in applicable field or, in lieu of an associate degree, 2 years of experience in applicable business-related field.
Experience
  • 2 Years of applicable business healthcare experience.
  • Must understand revenue cycle operations, clinical operations, and have a working knowledge of computer systems and systems life cycle
License/Certification/Registration
  • None
