Creswell School District is seeking highly skilled candidates for a district level Grounds position (4 hours per day).

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities include:

• Performing a variety of skilled work in grounds & landscaping,
• Performing a variety of advanced skilled work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment, and
• Maintaining the district's preventative maintenance program and long-term maintenance planning.

Duties may include:

• Operating, maintaining and repairing tools, machinery and equipment used in assigned work,
• Performing skilled maintenance, repair, and construction work such as electrical, HVAC, millwright, plumbing and carpentry,
• Performing routine grounds keeping duties,
• Scheduling, prioritizing and coordinating assigned tasks,
• Ordering materials and supplies as needed,
• Maintaining records as required,
• Reporting or correcting sanitary and safety hazards,
• Other appropriate duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school education,
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions,
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing,
• Ability to interact effectively with individuals and groups of all ages, which may require conflict resolution skills,
• Ability to obtain specialized training and/or certifications, as required,
• Ability to physically perform assigned duties, including but not limited to: lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods of time up to eight hours a day, climbing stairs and ladders,
• Ability to develop and implement maintenance programs and procedures, Ability to evaluate and establish work priorities,
• Ability to prepare accurate records and required reports,
• Knowledge of safety rules, practices and procedures; applicable codes, policies and/or laws governing work procedure and practices in assigned trade; principles and practices of facilities maintenance and upkeep,
• Successful completion of fingerprint screening.
