- General Plant Labor
- Housekeeping, hosing down floors, moping, sweeping, emptying trash, picking up trash, etc.
- Shovel and clean up spills in the plant
- Keep barrels emptied of trash and product
- Clean equipment from top to bottom
- Help unstop screw conveyors
- Cut plastic and product off of screw
- Keep Floor drains cleaned out and covers on drains
- Expected to perform other duties as assigned
- Oversees rendering process from raw material bin to finished goods storage
- Prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical rendering and or process equipment
- Good mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting; skilled in general mechanics and safe operation of equipment
- Ability to deal with minor problems involving equipment or various situations
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to climb stairs and silos
- Ability to stand for entire shift
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
- Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch
- Occasionally push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms
- Job functions will be carried out in a rendering facility which requires tolerance for wet and/or slippery floors, and high heat and./or cold temperatures.
