Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule Option 1: Thursday and Friday daytime hours

Schedule Option 2: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday daytime hours

Location: New Hope, MN

Salary Range: $35.00 to $40.00 an hour

The Registered Nurse (RN) supports up to 19 residents receiving Community Housing Services and living within one townhouse development in New Hope, MN.

Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities:

• Establish supportive and motivational relationships with residents
• Meet with clients to administer medications and offer support in managing their illness
• Perform ongoing assessments for medication side effects, drug interactions, and other health concerns
• Assist clients in understanding and building skills to address their mental health and chemical dependency issues
• Perform behavioral management interventions and de-escalate mental health crises
• Ensure medications are handled appropriately and administered properly, following licensing requirements
• Collaborate with other RN's in setting up cassettes each week for unlicensed personnel (ULPs) to administer medications
• Complete the admission process with new residents and ensure medications are available upon arrival
• Complete the discharge process with residents leaving the program and ensure medications are available after discharge
• Liaise with medical providers and pharmacists to ensure residents are receiving proper care and medications
• Maintain client records in the electronic health record (Credible)
• Collaborate with other staff members, including other RNs, interns, and/or volunteers.

Mental Health Counselor Requirements:

• License as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota required
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required
• Experience supporting adults living with a mental illness, chemical dependency issues, and/or co-occurring disorders strongly desired
• Experience supporting adults within a residential program desired
• Experience supporting a tobacco free living environment desired
