Whole Family Dentistry is an Established, Comprehensive, Progressive, Fee for Service general practice in Boulder. We focus on patient relationships and care in a comfortable environment and provide the best of new technologies for their comfort, function, aesthetics, and longevity with the best hospitality. Perio Program is in place. Certification in Diode laser is a plus, but if you are not certified, we will provide access to train you. Bonus for SRP/Laser PerioTherapy. Health care, vacation, and holidays offered. Softdent, Dexis, and iTero capability is also a plus, but again, training is available. Study Clubs available. We have 4 days/week available starting now, Tuesday through Friday (short day on Friday) is the preference. We like to develop long lasting relationships with our patients, and we like to consider them our friends. We develop long term relationships with our team members as well. Responsibilities

  • Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
  • Sterilize dental instruments properly
  • Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Doctor/Hygienist Co-diagnosis
  • Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
  • Debride and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque, tartar, and apply fluoride)
  • Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
  • Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
  • Take Digital X-rays including CBCT and iTero scans
  • Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
  • Maintain digital documentation and charts on each patient
  • Monitor supplies
  • Take 3D scans (Itero)

Skills

  • Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. OSHA/HIPAA)
  • Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • A patient and friendly personality
  • Attention to detail
  • Diploma in Dental Hygiene
  • Valid licence to practice

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour

All clinical employees mask based on Community Standards. Patients pre-rinse. Leaf continuous suction. Air purification. Standard Precautions observed, office is fogged daily. Gowns available for change between patients.
