Job Summary
- Responsible for operating radiologic equipment and performing exams in such a manner that high-quality images are obtained for a Radiologist’s use in diagnostic interpretation.
- Perform radiologic and fluoroscopic procedures in the radiology department, the use of portable equipment at the bedside, and the C-arm in surgery.
- Has knowledge of and performs routine and special exams according to department procedures (includes patient preparation, obtaining accurate patient history, and explanation of exam to patient).
- Optimally demonstrates anatomy through proper positioning and selection of technical factors.
- Administration of oral, and rectal contrast when indicated using correct delay times and safety precautions.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- CT experience preferred or willingness to be trained.
- Current licensure in the state of Nebraska as a Medical Radiographer.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification or board eligible.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
