5 am to 5 pm Rotating Days, including some weekends

We are looking for a day shift Quality Assurance Auditor. This role is responsible for ensuring product meets specifications by performing daily surveillance inspections on product lines and performing quality assurance tests on products as required.
Knowledge:
- Mathematics - arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications.
- English Language - knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Computers and Electronics - computer hardware and software; including applications.
- Production and Processing - raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
Skills:
- Communication effectively by verbal and written. Written communication should be neat and easy to read.
- Problem Solving with and without Management intervention
- Instructing /Teaching production members.
- Personal time management skills
- Organizational skills
Tasks:
1. Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples. Conducts Sawdust Moisture and Sieve Tests during the shift as specified.
2. Monitor, record and report material blends, machine run rates and machine output in all areas of the facility.
3. Perform visual inspections of finished products and give feedback as required.
4. Calibrate, validate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
5. Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.
6. Supply quality control data necessary for regulatory submissions.
7. Inspect raw materials.
8. Investigate or report questionable test results.
9. Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
10. Identify and report quality problems and recommend solutions.
11. Train other analysts to perform laboratory procedures and assays.
12. Participate in internal assessments and audits as required.
13. Evaluate analytical methods and procedures to determine how they might be improved.
14. Collects and performs Break Tests on retention boards; enters data accurately.
15. Isolates all non-conforming product using the Hold Procedures in place by the Quality Department.
16. Instructs/Teaches production members how to package products according to the Packaging Sheets provided.
17. Troubleshooting /Determining causes of operating errors with and without the assistance of the Supervisors.
18. Create labels for products
19. Disburse labels to the lines as needed and while a line is being changed.
20. Line change process: create or retrieve labels, verify product is to spec, complete first audit.
21. Identifies organizational problems and opportunities for improvement and brings solutions and suggestions to management’s attention.
22. Participates in department meetings

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
