Job description
This position will provide support for the Purchasing department specifically in maintaining company materials master records in our ERP system. The individual will be responsible to thoroughly research and update existing systems and/or databases of materials records to improve data accuracy, consistency, and integrity and to reduce duplicity in the materials master. Additional responsibilities to assist with end user training on Watco procurement systems. This position will also help with implementing and maintaining network wide material policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintaining the Coupa and SAP material catalogs- Review and research new material number requests
- Maintain integrity of material descriptions following a predetermined format
- Help implement and maintain company inventory control processes as they relate to part numbers
- Assist with Coupa Supplier Enablement
- Help support the rollout of system implementations across the shop network
- End user support of Coupa, SAP, and FIORI
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
3-5 years of purchasing and/or systems experience- College degree preferred
- Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of management
- Detailed oriented and analytical
- Railroad and/or Terminal related experience is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
