Purchasing Clerk
We are in search of an experienced Purchasing Clerk to manage the purchase order life cycle from vendor submission to tracking back orders and delinquents. The ideal candidate will possess an inclination for new skills, product knowledge, new vocabulary, and growth ? while accepting that this position will grow slowly over time.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and facilitate the purchase order life cycle.
  • Work with vendors and solicit confirmation for all orders submitted.
  • Update purchase orders for pricing accuracy.
  • Update order specifics as acknowledged by the vendor.
  • Review and provide information on vendor performance to the Purchasing Manager.
  • Conduct data entry operations as prescribed by the Purchasing Manager.
  • Prepare reports and analysis as prescribed by the Purchasing Manager.
  • Completion of system maintenance related to purchasing activities.
  • Respond to new responsibilities as determined by the Purchasing Manager.

Knowledge and Skills for this Position:

  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to be proactive and independently, and also with others and contribute to a team.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be reliable, with a strong work ethic and desire to contribute to a team.
  • Willing to work 40+ hours weekly.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required, with some college preferred.
  • ERP/MRP experience preferred.
  • Previous purchasing experience preferred.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening is required.
  • Random drug testing required after employment.
