At Midas Construction, we are growing with a purpose.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our stellar accounting group.
Here's what you'll do:
- Join the Midas team and manage project-based accounting.
- Set up new projects, enter budgets, cost codes, schedule of values.
- Process invoices, audit vendor payments, prepare check-runs, and manage submittal/closeout.
- Review payroll, A/R, contract status, and job cost.
- Assist project teams with timesheets, change order requests, and compliance documents as needed.
- Monitor and audit workflow ensuring timely work by implementing and maintaining company procedures.
Ideal candidates possess:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant experience.
- 2+ years of construction accounting experience, preferably with a subcontractor.
- Understanding of contract and compliance requirements for projects.
- Credibility, ethics, and clean financial history.
- Excellent communication skills, superb organization, and efficient time management.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, Procore, and accounting software.
- C.P.A., experience with Unions, and ComputerEase software a plus.
