Program Coordinator of Intercultural and Inclusion Student Services
Coastal Carolina University is seeking candidates for
Program Coordinator of Intercultural and Inclusion Student Services at Coastal Carolina University. The Program Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Intercultural and Inclusion Student Services. The Program Coordinator will work in an office setting as well as various environments across campus.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Develops, organizes and implements specific projects, programs, and events that support the goals and objectives of the office, such as Cultural Heritage Months (Hispanic Heritage Month, LGBTQIA+ History Month, Native American Heritage Month, Black History Month, Women’s History Month, and Asian-Pacific Islander Heritage Month, etc.) programming, diversity dialogue series, MLK Celebration, and other large- and small-scale programs;
- Advises (one) office initiative and provides assistance with programming and budget development;
- Establishes and maintains relationships with university departments, and special interest groups;
- Researches and assesses programs and special projects;
- Consults with vendors and office initiatives to ensure programmatic success;
- Provides leadership on the program logistics for all sponsored and cosponsored programs and events to include Cultural Achievement Ceremonies, guest speakers, and performers;
- Summarizes and maintains evaluation data after each program;
- Serves as the office representative for events related to Orientation, CINO Tie Week, and other university-wide events;
- Advises students on programs off campus;
- Provides advisement to the Intercultural Leadership Council, council of identity-based organizations affiliated with the office;
- Manages the marketing and promotion of the office and the events sponsored by Intercultural and Inclusion Student Services;
- Supervises the student marketing team (Graphic Designer and Social Media/Marketing student ambassador); and
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in a related field and experience in a related student services area is required. A master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a related field is preferred. At least two (2) years of relevant experience in intercultural programs and services in an educational setting and direct experience with programming in a university setting, along with demonstrated knowledge of universal design and a social justice framework are also preferred.

Student Services Program Coordinator II (CB70/61122088/FTE-S00787P), full-time position with benefits.
SC State Pay Band: 05. Salary range is $35,360.00 (minimum) to $50,394.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university. This position will require many evening hours and some weekend work hours.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Experience in a related student services area.
Preferred Qualifications

Additional comments regarding this position
This position will require many after 5:00 pm hours and some weekend work.
