SUMMARY:

NoTrax, a Justrite Safety Group company is looking for a Production Manufacturing Engineer for their Bedford Park, IL operations. You must be accountable for the identification, analysis and implementation of improvement opportunities that increase productivity, enhance service levels and quality, reduce costs, increase revenues, or improve control.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviews line cycle times by conducting time-and-motion studies.
• Prepares recommendations for allocation of plant labor.
• Participates in the development of long-range plans for major layout changes, incorporation of new processes, selection of equipment, and other related matters.
• Organizes and develops comprehensive cost estimates for various plant applications.
• Evaluates and analyzes the design of each application to determine the most economical and functional systems, methods, and procedures for manufacture and appropriate tools, equipment, and facilities.
• Establishes and maintains drawings for facility layout.
• Acts as a liaison between company and external contractors for product and project development to ensure all project specifications are met.
• Provides training to production employees when changes in layout or procedures affect their position.
• Assists in instituting meaningful cost reduction/process improvement projects.
• Organizes and manages Lean efforts
• Facilitates Kaizen events.
• Manages, updates, and maintains Bill of Materials system.

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years related experience.
• Experience with implementation and/or maintenance of ISO 9001 certification preferred.
• Must possess strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple and changing priorities.
• Knowledgeable of the following computer programs: AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Lean techniques.
