Summary

The part-time Test Proctor is responsible for performing testing administration duties for the Testing Center by administering a variety of tests. This position will float between the East Peoria and Peoria campuses.

Essential Functions

1. Administer Accuplacer testing for curriculum and course placement (weekends and evenings as needed).
2. Administer other ICC placement tests i.e. BIO 205, Spanish, Music Theory, HESI.
3. Assist with testing for business and industry i.e. Mechanical Reasoning, Mechanical Aptitude, CASAS.
4. Assist with the administration, coordination, and scheduling of ICC proctored exams. Read aloud and scribe for the Access Service department as needed.
5. Process and proctor extension tests from other schools.
6. Complete trainings, maintain certifications, and administer PearsonVue, PSI, CLEP, DSST and Meazure exams.

7. Assist with the overall administration of tests for external certification i.e. ACT & SAT (weekends and evenings, as needed).
8. Load score information into our student management system.
9. Assist with all inquiries regarding test-related questions; phone, mail, and multiple e-mails
10. Provide daily support in all other aspects of the Testing Center, as needed.
11. Perform related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.


  • Associates degree.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Direct experience in a Higher Education testing environment.
