Postdoctoral Researcher (Co-Op)
Portland, Oregon, USA – OSRAM OS San Jose
Deine Aufgaben
- As part of the Quantum Dot RD team, you will work with other scientists and leading experts to develop novel quantum dot materials
- Use Schlenk line techniques to synthesize small-scale batches of II-VI, III-V semiconductor quantum dots and investigate within the team on how to make them better
- Characterize the materials you make through use of optical spectroscopy (UV-Vis absorption, PL emission, Excited State lifetime etc.), TEM imaging, elemental composition determination, or other techniques in which you have expertise
- Work with other scientists on special projects to assess the performance of Quantum Dots
Wen wir suchen
- A recent graduate from a Ph.D. (or Master's program) in Chemistry, Physics or related fields
- A track record of previous Quantum Dot experience in either QD synthesis or design
- Candidates with experience in III-V QDs are especially encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with semiconductor properties including band structures and common crystal lattice structures
- Experience with optical spectroscopy, especially UV-Vis absorption and PL emission
- The ability to work safely in a lab environment, follow protocols, and keep accurate recordsams
