We are currently hiring a Planner 2- Scheduler to support our customer in Washington, DC but position is fully remote. Please review the requirements below and if you would like to be considered, we encourage you to apply!
Position overview -
Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) program as a Planner 2 - Scheduler.
Provide support to the Office of the Deputy Chief Information Officer (ODCIO) Subject Matter Experts (SME) as needed in their planning and schedule development efforts. Gather and consolidate multiple SMEs schedule information and input into a ODCIO integrated master schedule to ensure traceability of milestones. Maintain, add, and track team actions using project management methodology and standard collaboration tools (SharePoint). Analyze data for schedule and critical path impact to the program. Determine schedule quality against industry standards. Develop and/or support executive reporting as required.
Requirements:Minimum qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional work experience
- Experience managing Information Technology related projects
- Experience in tracking costs, schedule and performance progress
- Able to coordinate between multiple projects and consolidate multiple project schedules, define goals, objectives, deliverables, and associated timelines
- Experience with drafting status reports, defining and gathering requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific/technical discipline or an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements
Preferred qualifications:
- Must be well versed in life cycle and project management methodologies
- Able to identify and mitigate risks
- DoD and VA experience
- Experience with Microsoft Project and Project Web Application
- Experience building and managing an Agile development and deployment schedule
- Experience working with schedule cross-project dependencies
- Possession of excellent troubleshooting and client management skills
- Experience running and analyzing DCMA Analysis results
- Experience implementing Electronic Health Records

Employment Type: Full Time / Permanent
Working Conditions:
Business work hours are from Monday through Friday, (day shift) 40-hour week. This role is fully remote.

Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
