Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following;

*Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the designated department or elsewhere in the store.

*Under the supervision of the Pharmacist, takes all steps required to accurately fill the prescription in compliance with all laws, regulations, physician orders and company policies and procedures regarding the sale of pharmaceuticals.

*Maintains a professional and friendly manner with all customers and requests.

*Accepts the written prescription or refill information from customers.

*Applies basic prescription reading skills.

*Basic prescription reading includes: dosage, directions, pharmacy calculations and product recognition.

*Access the computer to obtain customer record (on both cash and third party prescriptions) and verifies third party parameters.

*Accurately inputs, accesses, processes, and retrieves data from computer.

*Maintains clean appearance of the pharmacy area.

*Replenishes supplies of vials, bottles, bags, and other supplies.

*Operates customer sales at register by scanning or using scan gun. Accurately read and record price for an item which will not scan.
