Would you like to make a difference in the life of a person with developmental disabilities? Are you reliable, patient, and attentive? If so, working 1:1 with an individual with developmental disabilities to provide guidance and support as needed in the areas of safety, daily living, communication, community, social and leisure skills may be for you. You will do various activities with your individual and have interactions with their family as well. Because activities take place at different locations, reliable transportation, auto insurance, and a valid driver's license are required for these roles. Most of our Mentor positions are part-time with hours per week ranging from under 10 to 40. Currently, we have opportunities in Enfield, Hanover, Lebanon, Goshen, Newport, Claremont, Grantham,Lempster, Springfield and Sunapee.Strong verbal,written and interperosnal communication skills as well as basic math and computer skills (MSOffice) are required. Creative thinking is a plus and experience with challenging behaviors may be useful.. Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule and at varied locations as needed.
