The Gratiot County Administration Department is seeking to fill a full-time Payroll and Procurement Specialist position. Under the supervision of the Deputy County Administrator, this individual will be responsible for payroll and procurement for the Gratiot County government work units.

The beginning salary for this position is $19.07 per hour. Gratiot County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience with payroll preferred
  • Associates degree in related field or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities in payroll, government procurement and inventory administration
  • Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of processing payroll including wage and benefits administration
  • Strong analytical skills and detail orientation
  • Proven ability to act with high levels of integrity and sensitivity toward personal information that may be disclosed
  • Maintain sensitive information in a confidential, timely and professional manner

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8am -4:30pm
  • Work is expect to be done on site

Education

  • Associates Degree preferred
