Parts Runner
Job description
Canyon Falls Farm is seeking reliable and fastidious Parts Runner to join our Shop Team. Parts Runners are responsible for parts pick-up, delivery, and supply of the entire farm.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day deliveries of parts and equipment to various locations on the farm to ensure mechanics have necessary parts on-time.
- Take and call-in orders from mechanics to vendors.
- Check in parts against invoices and purchase orders to complete paperwork and enter data into systems.
- Confirm with mechanics the information recorded pertaining to cost of maintenance and repair parts.
- Record and enter maintenance records into the record management system accurately.
- Cross-train in a variety of basic mechanical tasks to assist mechanics.
- Make recommendations for correcting equipment inventory problems, efficiencies, and other continuous improvements.
- Assist in inter-department mail delivery, the security, and the upkeep of overall appearance of the equipment and shop.
- Champion a world-class safety culture by actively observing, reporting issues/concerns, and following all company and industry policies and processes.
- Participate in industry-related and regular safety meetings and trainings.
Qualifications:
- Automotive parts and booking experience.
- Valid in-state driver’s license
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS tools. Ability to learn new software/systems.
- Attention to detail with ability to read labels and identify mechanical parts.
- Basic mechanical aptitude. Previous related experience preferred.
- Strong demonstrated interpersonal, customer service, and professional communication skills. Spanish Bilingual a plus.
- Meet the physical requirements of the role including ability to lift up to 70 pounds and activities associated with standing, lifting, bending, twisting, and climbing. Work includes long-term sitting and occasional long-term standing/walking during.
- Able to work nights, holidays, weekends and shift work, per company needs.

Starting pay is generally set between minimum and midpoint for new hires or developing employees. Individual pay is adjusted as performance is demonstrated and sustained at increasingly competent levels over time. With approval, experienced employees with critical skills may be hired above this guideline.
