The Body Shop Parts Manager is responsible for returning a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in collision parts inventory.
Accomplish objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, and staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying and advertising
Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the body shop, wholesale accounts and the do-it-yourself public- Establish pricing parameters in each customer category that generates sufficient gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit, while maintaining customer loyalty
- Establish individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover
- Monitor and adjust Days’ Supply for critical and fast-moving parts’ categories and numbers
- Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence
- Maintain Inventory Aging guidelines
- Direct shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing
- Manage the parts inventory and track expenses
- Work with the Body Shop manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs
- Continue to maintain Asbury's value, quality, and integrity
- Strong customer service skills are a must
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills required
- Experience with CDK or Reynolds is a plus
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Automotive Parts Employee
- Previous Automotive Parts Management experience required
- Must be able to manage in a fast paced work environment
- Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test)
