About us: Located in the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake, Inside Out Learners provides social skills instruction, academic tutoring, summer camps, social clubs, and more through a variety of engaging activities for both, neurodiverse AND neurotypical learners. We support social development and academic performance, regardless of the presence or absence of a formal diagnosis.

We have a Part-Time Teacher Assistant position open now! IOL is looking for a warm, responsible, fun-loving team player to join us for some group programs and summer camps. This position involves weekday evenings and/or Saturday mornings with 2-6 hours/week throughout the rest of the school year; summer hours vary, but could have up to 15 hours per weekday for our camp program

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

• following the teacher's lead in providing instruction and reinforcing what is being taught,
• helping keep learners engaged in lessons,
• ensuring that learners are safe and having fun, and helping learners self-regulate as the need arises

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• high school diploma with some college level coursework completed
• minimum of 1 year working with children with autism spectrum disorder and/or related abilities
• ability to build relationships effectively and professionally with lead instructors and student families
• proven ability to maintain a safe learning environment
