Regional West Health Services is an independent, integrated health care delivery system based in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. We are actively looking for individuals to assist our Emergency Department team as a Paramedic RN Extender.
As an RWMC Paramedic RN Extender, you will:
- Review the patent chart to become familiar with the orders for the patient including but not limited to medications, lab orders and results, radiology orders and results, activity, diet, consultation orders, etc.
- Form a complete physical assessment on each assigned patient.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
- Monitor patients at least hourly for any changes in condition. Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient. Report any changes in patient condition during the shift to the medical provider, patient care coordinator and director of nursing.
You may be a good fit if you have:
- Graduated from an educational program for Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic or equivalent
- Current State of Nebraska EMT-Paramedic Licensure
- National Registration as a Paramedic
- BLS, ACLS, PALS and PHTLS required within 6 months
