We are seeking a Packaging Operator for an important client.

Job Summary

Location - San Carlos, CA

Shift - 1st shift

Pay - $25.00 to $27.00

The Packaging Operator is responsible to ensure that the quality and quantity of packaged goods conforms to the Company’s standards. Responsible to be able to read and comprehend documents such as manuals and operational instructions to work on different types of packaging machines.

Responsibilities:

· Review appropriate production schedules for the line to ensure correct equipment setups have been made and appropriate packaging material are present for efficient productivity.

· Monitor all product in process and/or finished to be packed to ensure best quality standards are being met per SOPs and work instructions.

· Make sure all materials are properly counted, weighed, and labelled with correct label information.

· Oversee efficient and safe operation of all equipment on the line.

· Ensure that all partial pallets, bags, containers, are available and accessible, as well as having proper documentation such as part number, weights, expiration dates.

· Ensure that all material and packaging are correct and met all the customer and Company specifications.

· Ensure adequate housekeeping in the work area throughout the day to include maintaining and cleaning machine(s) before and after each shift.

· Set up machines before each shift and perform testing procedures to ensure that machines work optimally during production.

· Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running of the machine and calibrate machines (scales) at the end of each shift per procedure.

· Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out.

· Perform random tests to ensure accuracy (i.e. seal, visual, weight, etc.).

· Perform safety checks at the beginning of each shift.

· Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output.

Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:

· Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

· Prior packaging and warehouse experience in a high-volume environment.

· Computer experience using ERP systems and Microsoft applications a plus.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and may require standing for a significant portion of the work day.

· Experience working in an ISO environment.

Job Types: Contract, Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
