Position: Operations Support & Maintenance Specialist, GS-11/12

Division: Washington Field Office

Location: Washington, DC

Working Hours: 8:15 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. (shift hours may vary)

Salary:

GS-11 $78,592.00 - $102,166.00

GS-12 $94,199.00 - $122,459.00

Full Performance level: GS-12

Number of Positions Available: 1

Duration: Permanent full-time

Additional selections may be made from this announcement to fill positions within the same division when the position includes substantially the same duties, responsibilities, and qualifications.

Key Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizens
  • Must be able to obtain an SCI clearance
  • Selectee will be required to complete form FD-887, Request for Access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

Major Duties

  • Performs administrative, analytical and evaluative work related to program operations, management, and organizational efficiency.
  • Secures services of contractors; local government; civil groups and legal organizations.
  • Maintains budgets and bank accounts. Prepares and/or assists with the preparation of the squad's monthly voucher and the squad's yearly budgets.
  • Reviews reports and researches errors or conflicting information in procurement documentation.
  • Conducts records searches, completes analysis, and prepares reports based upon the research. Updates information management database with the information and report(s).
  • Responsible for inventory management of the program property.
  • Compiles supporting documents and completes accounts receivables for the squad/program.

Specialized Experience (SE):

GS-11: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level. SE is defined as follows:

  • Researched, gathered, and analyzed supporting statistical data to identify trends.
  • Resolved discrepancies associated with invoices, statements, and other requests for payment.
  • Maintained account records for businesses associated with a program.
  • Received, read, and appropriately distributed incoming communication.

GS-12: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. SE is defined as follows:

  • Formulated annual budget for fixed and discretionary expenditures.
  • Prepared detailed analysis and cost estimates of annual funding needs.
  • Researched, gathered, and analyzed supporting statistical data to identify rends.
  • Resolved discrepancies associated with invoices, statements, and other requests for payment.
  • Maintained account records for businesses associated with a program.
  • Received, read, and appropriately distributed incoming communication.

Education

Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements provided you can show foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.

All degrees must be from an accredited college or university. Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:

GS-11: Applicant must have a Ph.D. OR equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related.

GS-12: Education may not be substituted for SE at this grade level.
