As the Operations Manager you are responsible for clinical and business operations of the department of Radiation Oncology and the Thoracic Surgery/Surgical Oncology clinics. You are accountable for revenue and cost/expense management, as well as strategic and administrative operations and planning. You will provide complex business analysis and project management as requested by leadership. It is expected that you will also manage strategic implementation, operational enhancements and initiatives. The Operations Manager will work with department leadership to ensure streamlined operations of patient care and business activities at Westwood and Santa Monica campus locations, community network sites, as well as planning and opening of additional future clinical sites. Develop clinical and business policies procedures, processes. Work closely with Clinical Director and other managers to ensure efficient operations and patient-centered approach. Work with medical directors to address physician and patient care issues.

Qualifications

We’re seeking an exceptionally gifted, experienced leader with: * Related Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree - preferred * Radiation Oncology experience - preferred * Demonstrated management and leadership experience in planning, organizing, coordinating, directing and evaluating day-to-day operations of an outpatient clinic. * Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to faculty, administrators, managers, and staff, to provide information or clearly explain complex policies and procedures on personnel and operational issues. Skill in interpreting data and conveyed clear message to various audiences. * Ability to manage patient issues to achieve resolution in a timely manner such that clinical operations needs are met and that physician and staff workflows are minimally impacted, while ensuring patient satisfaction * Demonstrated supervisory skills including hiring, training, evaluating performance, counseling, initiating corrective action, detecting personnel action, delegating responsibility, and organizing workflow to accomplish established objectives. * Working knowledge of clinical trial recruitment and privacy issues related to clinical research * Working knowledge of professional coding, billing, collections and appropriate clinical documentation for billing purposes. * Working knowledge of various types of various third party payers (PPO, POS, managed care, Medicare, Medicaid, pre-authorization, pre-certification, workmen’s comp, etc.)
