Overview
The Old Edwards Club has a restaurant featuring casually elegant farm-to-table food and has sweeping, open-air views of a Tom Jackson-designed golf course. Club members and guests of Old Edwards Hospitality properties have access to the clubhouse to enjoy lunch, dinner and special events throughout the season.
The Barn at GlenCove is an Old Edwards facility with 2 bars that service members and guests while enjoying various entertainment activities, the pool, sitting on the porch, or dining from the Crafty Goat food truck.
Bartenders may work at one or both of these neighboring properties during both the Old Edwards season.
Job Summary
- To offer, according to Old Edwards Club standards, efficient and stellar guest service
- Ensure our Members and Guests have an enjoyable dining experience.
- Perform duties and services according to the standards of Old Edwards Club
- Produce and deploy crafted cocktails, beer and wine in a timely fashion while abiding by NC ABC Board
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar and bar areas
- Work and maintain the bar by taking orders, serving food and beverage options
- Perform all extra duties (i.e., sidework) and projects as assigned by the Manager on Duty.
- Other duties as assigned by Clubhouse Manager
Qualifications
- Previous experience required
- Must be 21 or older per North Carolina ABC Commission Guidelines
- Must have the ability and willingness to learn, communicate and listen
- Must have the ability to follow directions, written or otherwise
- Must have a positive attitude and be punctual
- Must know and understand the laws and regulations that the NC Board has in place for Alcohol distribution
- Must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk the property, climb stairs and sit for periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Duties are performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, with events often taking place in the elements in all four seasons. Events often involve loud music
