NP-PA Southeast Rehab Hospitalist –– Fall River, MA

Position reports to the Physician, Office Manager, or designee. Conduct hospital rounds on patients located on Southeast Rehab. Perform initial histories, physicals, consultations, and follow-up care visits which may require laboratory testing, radiology testing, and/or immunizations. Formulate diagnoses based on clinical assessments and establish appropriate/ timely treatment plans. Attend to acute medical issues and manage chronic medical diagnoses. Collaborate with physiatrists in co-management of these patients during their acute rehab admission. Facilitate discharges in conjunction with the rehab team by completing medication reconciliation.
Hours: Full-time 80 hours per 7-day rotation (7a-7p; 8a-7p)
Shift: 7 on/ 7 off
We are a fast-paced, established, patient centered practice that provides quality care to our patients.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Nurse Practitioner: Master of Science Degree in Nursing is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required. Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required.
- Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A. approved Physician Assistant program is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required.
- Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License is required.
- One year experience required
Must become fully vaccinated against the COVID 19 virus and provide required vaccination documentation unless approved for a medical or religious exemption by Southcoast.
