We are seeking an energetic team to oversee the day-to-day operations of The Sunset Motel in Moriarty, NM. The Sunset is a restored historic property on Route 66 with 4.6 stars on Google, 4.5 on Trip Advisor and 9.0 on Booking.com. Over 50% of our guests have stayed with us multiple times. Hospitality and cleanliness are the primary reasons we are at the top of our market.

The job of managing a motel is like running any small business: it requires a wide range of skills and talents. Most of all it requires a love for guest interactions and willingness to do what it takes to exceed guest expectations. It's a hands-on position in every area of the business, from adjusting the heater in a guest room to managing group reservations and on-line reputation.

Our Ideal Team is:

· Guest Satisfaction oriented

· Highly motivated, self-starting, and computer literate

· Able to manage most responsibilities of the motel with little direction

· Handy, resourceful and has some maintenance skills

The Manager positionrequires:

· A mutually supportive, mature 2-person team, living and working together on the premises

· Excellent people and phone skills

· The ability to stay calm, think on your feet and problem solve for travel weary guests

· Scheduling yourselves to ensure proper coverage

· Managing 4 to 6 part time staff to cover grounds, housekeeping and laundry duties

Responsibilities included but not limited to the following:

· Daily direct guest sales via front desk, email and phone

· Availability on weekends and Holidays

· Guest Services (for example: directing to local restaurants and businesses, day trips)

· Work with head housekeeper to ensure coverage and cleanliness of rooms

· Grounds (watering, checking patio, etc) and light property maintenance

· Frequent Interactions with the owner of the property

Compensation:

· Salary – negotiable as per experience, qualifications

· Days off negotiable

· Fully Furnished Innkeeper Apartment on premises w/all utilities: (water, gas, electric, internet and Direct TV included) Two Bedroom, one bath unit on site

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

• Moriarty, NM 87035: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Hotel experience: 1 year (Preferred)
